THQ Nordic Japanは、PS5/Xbox Series X|Sダウンロード版「スポンジ・ボブ：ザ コズミック シェイク」の配信日を2023年10月23日に変更すると発表した。
本作はスポンジ・ボブと親友のパトリックが願いを叶えてくれる人魚の涙を手に入れ、さらなるいたずらを繰り広げるアクションゲーム。日本語吹き替えはTVアニメ版でおなじみのキャスト陣が担当している。
発表に際し、「発売を心待ちにされていたお客様には多大なご迷惑をお掛けいたしますこと、心よりお詫び申し上げます」とのコメントが公開されている。
