MAGES.のPCブランドであるGigasDrop.は、2011年10月28日発売予定のPC用ソフト「シュタインズ・ゲート 8bit」がマスターアップしたことを発表、併せてショップ別特典情報を公開した。
“オッサン”にはたまらない追加機能が！
8月19日に公開された体験版に、さらに最新機能を搭載！任意で当時の対応機種を選べるようになった。
今回の体験版では「PC‐8081版」と「NZ‐2200版（グリーンモニタ）」でプレイが可能。当時の世代の人にとっては、値段が高くて買えなかった機種や持っていた機種で遊べるといった、スタッフの遊び心あふれる仕様となっている。もちろん製品版には追加で機種が盛り込まれるとのことだ。
